These terms apply when you use Kepu Manga Shelf.

Kepu Manga Shelf is operated by Nalina Dessers, trading as Kepu, from Thailand.

By creating an account or using Kepu Manga Shelf, you agree to these terms.

Who runs this

Kepu is a small independent product operated by Nalina Dessers.

Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@madebykepu.com.

What Manga Shelf is — and isn’t

Kepu Manga Shelf is a tool for keeping track of a manga collection: what you own, what you’re missing, and what you might want to buy next.

Kepu does not sell manga and is not a publisher, bookseller or retailer.

Information in the app may come from you or from publicly available information. Kepu does not guarantee that details such as volume counts, publication status, editions, publishers or other manga information will always be complete or correct.

References to publishers, retailers, manga titles or other third parties do not imply that they sponsor, endorse or are affiliated with Kepu.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create a Kepu account.

If you are under the age at which you can legally agree to these terms where you live, you should use Kepu with the permission of a parent or guardian.

Kepu currently supports sign-in through services such as Google and Apple. You are responsible for keeping access to the account you use to sign in secure.

Please do not use Kepu to interfere with the service, access somebody else’s account, circumvent security measures, or do anything unlawful or deliberately harmful.

Kepu does not currently delete accounts simply because they have been inactive.

What you put in it

Your shelf belongs to you.

You keep any rights you have in the information and material you add to Kepu. You give Kepu only the permission needed to store, process, display and back up that material so the service can work for you.

This can include collection information, notes, purchase details and cover images.

You are responsible for what you add. Please only upload, save or link to material that you are allowed to use. Kepu does not give you rights to images, manga artwork or other material owned by somebody else.

Your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

What it costs

Kepu may offer both free and paid ways to use Manga Shelf.

The free version may include limits on things such as the number of manga series you can keep on your shelf. Paid plans or purchases may provide additional capacity or features.

The limits, features and price that apply to a plan will be shown before you choose or pay for it.

If Kepu introduces or changes a paid plan, you will not be charged unless you have actively agreed to the purchase.

Any applicable subscription period, renewal terms, cancellation options, taxes and refund conditions will be shown before payment is taken.

If the limits of a free plan change in the future, Kepu will make reasonable efforts to explain the change before it materially affects an existing shelf.

When it won’t work

Kepu is software, and sometimes software goes wrong.

We try to keep Manga Shelf available and working properly, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free from errors.

Maintenance, security work, technical problems and services Kepu depends on may occasionally make some or all of the app unavailable.

Features may also change as Kepu develops. We may add, change or remove parts of the service where reasonably necessary. Where a significant planned change affects how you use Kepu, we will try to give reasonable notice when practical.

Kepu includes tools for exporting and backing up your shelf. Keeping your own backup is a good idea, particularly if your collection is important to you.

Ending it

You can stop using Kepu whenever you like.

You can also delete your Kepu Manga Shelf account. Account deletion removes your active account and associated shelf data as described in the Privacy Policy and cannot be undone.

Kepu may suspend or close an account where reasonably necessary—for example because of serious misuse, a security risk, unlawful activity, or a legal requirement.

If Kepu Manga Shelf is ever discontinued, we will try to give reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your shelf beforehand where practical.

If something goes wrong

If you have a problem with Kepu, please contact us first so we have a chance to help.

Kepu is provided as a collection-management tool. You remain responsible for decisions you make using the information in your shelf, including purchases.

To the extent permitted by law, Kepu is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate information you or somebody else entered, third-party services outside Kepu’s control, or temporary interruption of the service.

Kepu also cannot guarantee that stored data will never be lost or damaged. That is one reason the app provides export and backup tools.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.

Which country’s law

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand.

If we have a disagreement, we should first try to resolve it directly.

If that is not possible, disputes may be brought before the appropriate courts in Thailand, subject to any mandatory consumer rights or legal protections that apply where you live.

Changes to these terms

Kepu may update these terms as the service changes.

If a change is significant, we will make reasonable efforts to tell you before it takes effect. Smaller changes, clarifications or corrections may simply be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.

Continuing to use Kepu after updated terms take effect means the new terms apply from that point onward, except where applicable law requires a different form of agreement.
